Troubleshooting

The divider never appears

Work through these in order:

  1. Check a divider is selected in the All Listings element on the SRP template. Left on Choose a Divider, nothing is inserted.
  2. Check Every X is set on the divider template. With no value, there's no interval to trigger on.
  3. Check Every X isn't larger than the page. Set to 20 with 12 listings per page, the count never reaches 20 before the page ends, so the divider never shows. Lower the interval or raise the listings per page.
  4. Check the page has enough results. A filtered search returning 4 listings won't reach an interval of 6.
  5. Confirm the extension is active in DMS → Extensions, and that your license is Starter or higher.

The divider doesn't appear in the All Listings dropdown

  • Confirm the template type is Content Divider, not SRI or another type. Check the template's own type setting.
  • Confirm it belongs to the same listing type as the SRP you're editing. Dividers built under Cars aren't offered to a Boats SRP.
  • Save the divider template before looking for it in the dropdown.

The divider appears in the wrong place

The count is of listings rendered, so the divider follows the nth listing on the page. If it looks misplaced:

  • Check the interval against your columns. With a 3-column grid and an interval of 4, the divider lands mid-row rather than at a row end. Use a multiple of your column count for a clean break.
  • Remember it repeats. Multiple appearances on a long page are expected, not a bug.

The divider is the wrong width

Width is set on the divider template, not on the SRP or the All Listings element. Editing the SRP won't change it.

If the width setting seems to have no effect:

  • Re-save the divider template after changing it.
  • Check at desktop width. The grid collapses on smaller screens, so a narrow divider becomes full width on mobile regardless of the setting.
  • Clear any page cache — SRP markup is often cached.

The divider breaks the grid layout

The divider is a grid item, so its width has to fit the grid it's placed in. A divider wider than the remaining space in a row pushes to the next row, leaving a gap.

Match the width to your column count: full width for a clean band, or exactly one card's width to blend into the flow.

Dividers appear more often than expected when filtering

The count restarts with each batch of listings loaded. Paging or filtering loads a fresh set, and the interval starts again from that batch's first listing — so a divider set to every 6 appears once per 6 listings of each load, not once per 6 across the whole session.

The divider shows listing data as blank

There's no listing in context inside a divider, so listing elements — title, price, image — have nothing to render. Use ordinary content elements instead.
