Troubleshooting¶
Inventory isn't updating after the initial pull¶
The initial pull is something your site does; ongoing sync is something Frazer does. They fail independently, so a working pull tells you nothing about the sync.
- Check Dealer.ms is in your Frazer integrations. This is the usual cause. The pull works without it because your site is asking Frazer for data — but nothing gets pushed back afterwards.
- Check the changes were saved in Frazer, not just entered.
- Give it a few minutes. Updates arrive shortly after a change, not instantly.
- Pull the entire inventory again to bring the two back in step, then watch whether a fresh change in Frazer arrives on its own.
The initial pull fails¶
The screen reports either that the inventory couldn't be retrieved, or that the request failed outright.
- Check your Dealer.ms license is active. The connection is authenticated with it, so an expired or deactivated license stops the request.
- Check your Frazer account has inventory to return.
- Retry. A single failed request is often transient.
Imported text is in all capitals¶
Frazer stores most text in capitals. Set Imported Term Formatting to Title Case on step two of the import, then pull the inventory again to reformat existing listings.
Note that formatting applies only to text-like values — Make, Model, Trim, Transmission, colours. VINs, stock numbers, and prices are deliberately left untouched.
My edits to listings keep getting overwritten¶
Every sync re-imports the vehicle's data, and the Import Actions on step two decide whether that overwrites what's already there.
Set them to leave existing values alone for any field you maintain on your website — descriptions and hand-picked photos are the usual ones.
Vehicles are missing from my website¶
- Check Import Vehicle Status. Set to Draft, imported vehicles won't be publicly visible until published.
- Check the vehicle is marked ready in Frazer. Frazer carries a Ready To Sell flag; how you've mapped it determines whether those vehicles appear.
- Check your trash. A vehicle removed in Frazer moves the matching listing to trash rather than deleting it, so a vehicle removed by mistake can be restored.
A vehicle was deleted from my site unexpectedly¶
Removing a vehicle in Frazer trashes the matching listing on your site. That's the intended behaviour — Frazer is the source of truth for inventory.
The listing is in the trash, not gone, so it can be restored if the removal was a mistake. Restore it in Frazer too, or the next sync will trash it again.
Prices look wrong¶
Frazer sends several price columns, and the one on your website is whichever you mapped in step one.
Check the association for your price field. Internet Price is usually the website price; Retail Price suits an original or crossed-out figure.
If cost figures are appearing publicly, you've likely mapped Original Cost, Total Cost, or Wholesale Price to a visible field — correct the mapping and re-pull.
Photos aren't importing¶
Photos arrive as a list of URLs and are imported into the listing gallery. If they're missing:
- Check the Photos column is mapped to your images field on step one.
- Check the vehicle has photos in Frazer.
- Consider timing. A large first import pulls many images; give it time before assuming it failed.
Leads aren't reaching Frazer¶
- Check the field is mapped. Each form field needs its Frazer Lead Field set individually. Unmapped fields are submitted normally but not forwarded.
- Check you edited the right form. Listing types can each have their own forms; confirm the form on the live page is the one you changed.
- Check the lead reached DMS. If it isn't in your DMS leads either, the problem is the form, not the connector.
- Re-save the form template after changing field mappings.
A lead arrived in Frazer with no vehicle attached¶
The form was submitted from a page with no listing in context — a general contact page rather than a vehicle page.
Vehicle attachment is automatic on listing pages and needs no mapping.
Lead data landed in the wrong Frazer field¶
The mapping is per form field, and it's easy to map a phone field to Home Phone when your team works from Cell Phone.
Re-check each field's Frazer Lead Field setting. Frazer's names are grouped by section in the dropdown, so a similarly named field from another section is an easy mis-click.
The Frazer Import button isn't there¶
Confirm the extension is active in DMS → Extensions and that your license is Starter or higher. The button sits in the imports card on the listing type's Import / Export screen.
