Add to Cart Element¶
Drag or select the Add to Cart element into your page builder's content.
It's available in the VDP and SRI (Search Result Item) categories, so it can sit on a listing detail page or on each row of your search results.
What it renders¶
WooCommerce's own price display and add-to-cart form, for the product belonging to the listing in context. Because it's WooCommerce's markup, quantity handling, validation, and cart behaviour all work exactly as they do elsewhere in your store.
The element renders nothing when the listing has no product yet — which is what you'll see on a listing created before the extension was set up, until a Product Scan runs.
Hide Price¶
A single toggle. Enabled, the deposit amount is hidden and only the button shows.
Worth considering when the deposit sits next to the vehicle price on your template — two figures in close proximity invites confusion about which one is being charged. Hiding it leaves the button as a clear call to action, with the deposit shown at checkout.
Leave it off if the deposit is a selling point — "Reserve for $500" does more work than a bare button.
Shortcode¶
Registered as dms_listing_add_to_cart:
A listing must be in context, so it can't be used on a general content page.
Cart and checkout messages¶
WooCommerce notices — "Vehicle added to your cart", stock warnings, validation errors — are displayed at the top of the listing, styled as DMS alerts rather than WooCommerce's own.
This matters because customers stay on your listing pages rather than being sent to a product page, so those messages need somewhere to appear.
Where to place it¶
On a VDP, near the price and primary contact actions. A customer who has decided to reserve shouldn't have to hunt.
On an SRI row, it lets someone reserve straight from search results. Effective for high-turnover stock, though it makes each row taller and invites reservations from people who haven't opened the listing.
Most dealers put it on the VDP only.
