WooCommerce Deposits

The WooCommerce Deposits extension connects your inventory to WooCommerce, letting customers reserve a vehicle online by paying a deposit — or buy it outright — without leaving your listing pages.

Every published listing gets a matching WooCommerce product, kept in sync automatically. You place an Add to Cart button on your listing template, and WooCommerce handles the checkout, payment, and order record.

Requirements

Requirement Value
DMS version 1.0.0 or newer
License Standard or higher
WooCommerce The WooCommerce plugin, active and configured with a payment gateway
Page builder Elementor, for the Add to Cart element

WooCommerce must be active

The extension checks for WooCommerce on load and does nothing at all without it — no settings tab, no products, no Add to Cart element. If the settings tab is missing, that's the first thing to check.

How it works

  1. You set a deposit amount on the listing type — either a flat figure or a percentage of each vehicle's price.
  2. Every published listing gets a WooCommerce product priced at that deposit. New listings get one on publish; existing inventory is handled by a one-time scan.
  3. You add the Add to Cart element to your listing template.
  4. A customer clicks it, checks out through WooCommerce as normal, and you get an order tied to that vehicle.

The product price is the deposit, not the vehicle price

The WooCommerce product is priced at the deposit amount, because that's what the customer pays online. A $30,000 vehicle with a 10% deposit creates a $3,000 product.

The rest of the transaction happens the way it always has — in person, financed, or however you close.

Customers never see the WooCommerce product page

Requests for a DMS-generated product URL redirect straight to the listing. Customers browse and buy from your listing pages; the product exists to give WooCommerce something to sell.
