Setup

Settings live on each listing type, under Listing Type → Settings → WooCommerce Connector.

They're per type, so Cars and Boats can take different deposits — but each type needs configuring separately.

Deposit Type and amount

Deposit Type chooses how the deposit is calculated:

Type Then set Result
Amount Deposit Amount Every vehicle of this type takes the same flat deposit — $500 on a $9,000 car and on a $90,000 truck alike.
Percentage Deposit Percentage The deposit scales with each vehicle's price. 10% takes $900 on a $9,000 car and $9,000 on a $90,000 truck.

Percentage accepts 1 to 100.

Which suits you depends on what the deposit is for. A flat amount reads as a booking fee and is predictable for customers; a percentage keeps the commitment proportional on expensive stock.

Changing the deposit doesn't reprice existing products

Products are repriced when their listing is next saved. After changing the deposit type or amount, run a Product Scan to apply it across existing inventory.

Product Scan

Product Scan → Start Scan walks your published inventory and creates a WooCommerce product for anything missing one, updating those that already exist.

Run it:

  • Once after first configuring the extension, to cover inventory that existed beforehand.
  • After changing the deposit type or amount, to reprice everything.
  • If products have drifted out of sync for any reason.

The scan runs in batches of five listings, showing a running count. Leave the page open until it reports Completed — navigating away stops it. Progress is saved, so starting again picks up where it left off rather than redoing the work.

Running it when everything is already in sync is harmless.

The scan covers every listing type

Although the button sits on one type's settings screen, the scan processes published listings across all your listing types. You don't need to run it once per type.

Reduce Quantity Settings

Optional, and only useful if you track stock counts on your listings.

Quantity Category

Choose the category holding each listing's available quantity. That value becomes the WooCommerce product's stock quantity, so the store won't sell more than you have.

Leave it unset and every product is stocked at 1 — right for one-of-a-kind vehicles, which is the usual case for a dealership.

The category needs to hold a plain number. A category holding text is read as zero, which marks the product unavailable.

Reduce Quantity

With this enabled, completing an order subtracts the quantity ordered from the listing's quantity category — so selling two of something leaves the listing showing two fewer.

Two things worth knowing:

  • It fires when an order reaches Completed, not when it's placed or paid. Orders sitting in Processing haven't reduced anything yet.
  • It writes back to your listing data. The listing's quantity value is genuinely changed, and it isn't restored if the order is later refunded or cancelled.

For single-vehicle inventory, leave both settings alone — a vehicle is sold once, and your listing status handles that better than a stock count.

Payment setup

The extension doesn't handle money. Deposits are taken by WooCommerce, so a payment gateway has to be configured there — Stripe, PayPal, or whatever you use — and tested before you put the button live.

Order emails, receipts, and refunds are all WooCommerce's, configured under WooCommerce → Settings.

Next, put the button on your templates — see Add to Cart Element.
